About the Resource

Geographic & Taxonomic Scope

As the title suggests, A Resource for Wood Boring Beetles of the World is global in geographic scope. The resource is limited taxonomically to the nine families recognized as wood boring beetles (Anobiidae, Bostrichidae, Brentidae, Buprestidae, Cerambycidae, Curculionidae, Lymexilidae, Oedemeridae, and Zopheridae). Most identification tools included are to genera of one of these families, with some tools allowing identification at the species-level. Newly developed digital tools are added as they become freely available to the public.
